Specifications of this grant: three scholarships to study the issue of building peace in the Pacific and it is supported from the Department of Philosophy and Department of Political Science from the University of Canterbury
This grant is part of the Marsden-funded project to build peace in the Pacific, designed by the late Professor Jacob
The objectives of this project to:
1 - study the experiences of post-conflict countries to end the Pacific
2 - To understand the reasons for the failure of peace settlements and remain present at the point of violent conflict
And look for the better
3 - ways of achieving justice and lasting reconciliation to create a lasting peace
During this topic describes the roles played by the security forces, judiciary and the role of development aid
And economic restructuring, and also the role of civil society organizations and democratic institutions in promoting peace and also mediation in the peace and the role of international organizations in conflict management
